China's import volume of ternary cathode materials in April 2026 was 10,220 tonnes, a decrease of 232 tonnes from the previous month, or a decline of 2.2%, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Meanwhile, compared with the same month last year, it increased by 4,062 tonnes, representing a growth of 66.0%. Among them, imports of NCM type stood at 8,919 tonnes, while that NCA type reached 1,301 tonnes.
During the January-April 2026 period, China's cumulative imports of cathode materials reached 35,336 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 95.1%.
