According to Chinese customs statistics, China's export volume of ternary cathode materials reached 21,852 tonnes in March 2026, an increase of 11,095 tonnes or 103.1% month-on-month, and a rise of 13,557 tonnes or 163.5% year-on-year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Among this, exports of lithium nickel-cobalt-manganese oxide (NCM-type) stood at 20,901 tonnes, while exports of lithium nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide (NCA-type) reached 951 tonnes.
During the first three months of 2026 (January–March), China's cumulative exports of cathode materials totaled 45,179 tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 118.3%.
