China's export volume of ternary cathode materials in April 2026 was 9,824 tonnes, a decrease of 12,028 tonnes from the previous month, or a decline of 55.0%, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Meanwhile, it increased by 468 tonnes, representing a growth of 5.0%, compared with the same month last year. Among them, exports of lithium-nickel-cobalt-manganese oxide (NCM type) stood at 9,823 tonnes, while exports of lithium-nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide (NCA type) were zero.
During the January-April 2026 period, China's cumulative exports of cathode materials reached 55,003 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 83.0%.
