Yancoal Australia's Q2 raw coal production up 23% YoY

Yancoal Australia, a major independent coal producer in Australia and owned 60% by China's Yankuang Energy Group, produced 17 million tonnes of run-of-mine (ROM) coal (on a 100% basis) in the second quarter of this year, marking a remarkable 23% rise from the same period last year, according to its quarterly report issued on July 17.

On an attributable basis, the company's ROM coal production rose 17% on year to 12.7 million tonnes, the report said. Saleable coal production (on a 100% basis) totalled 12.3 million tonnes, marking a 20% rise, while that on an attributable basis rose 15% to 9.4 million tonnes. Yancoal's attributable coal sales
