Colombia's June coal exports rise 11.9% YoY, but plunge 30.9% MoM

Colombia exported 4.21 million tonnes of coal in June 2025, marking an 11.9% increase compared to the same month last year. However, exports fell sharply by 30.9% from May, according to the latest data from Colombia's National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).

In terms of value, coal exports in June were worth $391.29 million, down 15.2% year on year and 29.2% from the previous month. Based on these figures, Mysteel Global calculated the average export price at $92.96 per tonne in June -- a 24.2% decrease on year but a 2.4%
