According to the latest data from Indonesia's Ministry of Trade, the country exported a total of 1,226,047 tonnes of nickel products in July 2025, including Nickel Pig Iron (NPI) at 994,662 tonnes, Ferronickel (FeNi) at 1,614 tonnes, Nickel Matte at 24,708 tonnes, Nickel Sulfate at 11,660 tonnes, Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP) at 163,022 tonnes, and Electrolytic Nickel at 7,902 tonnes.
In July, exports were primarily shipped to China with 1,146,419 tonnes (93.51%), followed by India with 64,222 tonnes (5.24%), Japan with 10,155 tonnes (0.83%), and South Korea with 3,535 tonnes (0.29%).
From January to July 2025, total nickel product exports reached 8,213,806 tonnes, consisting of NPI at 6,628,389 tonnes, FeNi at 37,006 tonnes, MHP at 1,094,035 tonnes, Nickel Matte at 145,217 tonnes, Nickel Sulfate at 112,043 tonnes, and Electrolytic Nickel at 39,419 tonnes.
During this seven-month period, exports were mainly directed to China with 7,861,025 tonnes (95.71%), India with 176,058 tonnes (2.14%), Japan with 67,715 tonnes (0.82%), and South Korea with 65,491 tonnes (0.80%).
