On August 19, the London Metal Exchange (LME) Hong Kong warehouse, jointly operated by China Resources Logistics and GKE, was officially inaugurated. Senior officials from the Government of Hong Kong SAR, HKEX, and LME attended the ceremony. CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd., as one of the inaugural trading representatives, participated in the event, with its "CNGR" brand nickel becoming one of the first metal products delivered at the ceremony, receiving the Commemorative Warrant for first delivery certification.
As the world's largest non-ferrous metals trading platform, LME currently operates across 34 locations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, with over 450 approved warehouse facilities. Hong Kong was approved as an LME warehouse location in January 2025 and officially commenced operations in July.
The launch of the LME Hong Kong warehouse is expected to enhance the efficiency of metal resource allocation in the Asia-Pacific region and foster deeper integration into the global metal market through LME's stringent warehousing and delivery system, positioning Hong Kong as a critical hub connecting China and global markets. The first batch of products delivered at the ceremony was 72.1 metric tonnes of "CNGR" brand nickel produced at CNGR's Qinzhou industrial base.
