Thailand's coal imports fall 10.7% on year in Sept

Thailand imported 1.36 million tonnes of coal in September, down by 10.7% from a year earlier and 23.3% from August, according to the latest data released by the Thai Customs.
Nearly all of the country's coal imports last month were thermal coal, comprising bituminous, sub-bituminous and lignite, while anthracite only accounted for 890 tonnes, far below its imports of 38,975 tonnes in August and 2,508 tonnes in September 2024, the Customs data show.     The country's cumulative coal imports during January-September
