Anglo American has reported its production results for the third quarter of 2025, with nickel output totaling 10,100 metric tonnes. This represents a decrease of 30.51% compared to the previous quarter and a 5.4% decline year-on-year.
The production was comprised of 8,200 metric tonnes from the Barro Alto operation and 1,900 metric tonnes from the Codemin operation. It is important to note that these figures reflect only the company's nickel operations in Brazil.
The year-on-year decrease is primarily attributed to the divestment of Anglo American's refined nickel operations in South Africa. These assets were transferred to the newly established Valterra Platinum, and as a result, production from these operations is no longer included in Anglo American's nickel production totals from Q3 2025 onward.
