Valterra Platinum, an independent company spun off from Anglo American in 2025 and headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, is now dually listed on the Johannesburg and London stock exchanges. The company focuses on the development of the hydrogen energy industry chain and the mining and application of platinum group metals (PGMs). Its product portfolio includes PGMs (platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, osmium) and by-products (copper, nickel, cobalt sulfate, sodium sulfate, chromium, gold).
The company recently released its third-quarter production report, showing nickel production of 6,226 tonnes in Ni. content, down 2.84% quarter-on-quarter and 15.4% year-on-year. This decline was primarily attributed to the drawdown of substantial work-in-progress inventory accumulated in prior periods.
