Mongolia's October coal exports dip 2% YoY, 26% MoM

Mongolia exported 7.12 million tonnes of coal and lignite in October, down 2.1% year-on-year and 26.5% month-on-month, according to Mysteel Global's calculations based on data from Mongolia's Customs General Administration.

By type, shipments of bituminous coal – mainly coking coal for steelmaking – fell 28.5% on month to 6.27 million tonnes and lignite exports declined 17.5% MoM to 537,622 tonnes. On the other hand, shipments of other coal rose 12.5% MoM to 260,194 tonnes and anthracite exports also increased
