Norilsk Nickel Group (Nornickel) recently released its Q4 2025 report, showing that the company produced 58,116 tonnes of nickel during the quarter. This represents an 8.52% increase compared to the previous quarter but a 1.29% decrease year-on-year.
The quarter-on-quarter growth in nickel production was primarily due to the restoration of equipment utilization to normal levels following planned maintenance completed in the third quarter. Almost all of the metal was produced from the company's own raw materials in Russia (57,900 tonnes).
For the full year of 2025, Nornickel's total nickel production reached 199,000 tonnes, down 3% year-on-year, mainly due to increased extraction of disseminated ores and reduced mining of rich ores. All metal production came from the company's own raw materials in Russia (198,200 tonnes), slightly exceeding the annual production target range of 196,000-204,000 tonnes.
Additionally, Nornickel's nickel metal production guidance for 2026 is set at 193,000-203,000 tonnes.
