UPDATE: Brazil issues preliminary AD ruling on China, Russia wire rods

Brazil's Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade, and Services (MDIC) has made an affirmative preliminary ruling in its anti-dumping (AD) investigation into wire rod imports from China and Russia, according to a statement published by the ministry on February 6 local time.

The ministry recommended that the investigation continue and that imposition of provisional AD measures be waived, the statement revealed, with the deadline for the final ruling extended to within 18 months from the date of its initiation (June 17 2025). The involved products come under Brazil's National Common Market System codes: 72139110, 72139190,
