In February 2026, CATL officially commenced construction on its New Power System Lithium Battery Green Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Binhai Port Area, Yancheng City.
According to available information, the project under construction is located in the Binhai Port Industrial Park. Leveraging the port area's collection and distribution advantages and Binhai County's green energy endowment, the project covers a total area of approximately 5,000 mu. The first phase will initially develop 1,000 mu, focusing on the R&D and intelligent manufacturing of lithium batteries for new power systems. It will construct high-standard R&D centers, intelligent production workshops, warehousing and logistics centers, supporting utilities, and green energy facilities, creating a green industrial cluster integrating R&D, production, and supporting facilities. Upon completion, it will become a leading domestic and world-class manufacturing base for new power energy storage lithium batteries.
