China's import volume of ternary precursors reached 168 tonnes in March 2026, an increase of 162 tonnes or 2,515.4% month-on-month, and an increase of 28 tonnes or 20.0% year-on-year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Among this, imports of nickel-cobalt-manganese hydroxide (NCM) stood at 168 tonnes.
During the first three months of 2026 (January–March), China's cumulative imports of ternary precursors totaled 328 tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 18.9%.
