China's import volume of ternary precursors in April 2026 was 66 tonnes, a decrease of 102 tonnes from the previous month, or a decline of 60.6%, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Meanwhile, it increased by 24 tonnes, representing a growth of 55.0%, compared with the same month last year. In addition, imports of nickel-cobalt-manganese hydroxide (NCM precursor) stood at 66 tonnes.
During the January-April 2026 period, China's cumulative imports of ternary precursors reached 394 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 23.7%.
