According to Mysteel data as of May 6, 14 car manufacturers have released their electric vehicle (EV) sales figures for April 2026. Among them, BYD, SAIC Motor, and Geely Auto ranked in the top three in terms of monthly sales, with sales volumes of 321,100 units, 142,500 units, and 135,600 units, respectively.
On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, more than 70% of the carmakers achieved sales growth, with SERES recording the largest increase.
On a year-on-year (YoY) basis, 10 carmakers posted growth, with Leapmotor registering the highest sales increase of 73.95%. The details are as follows:
