According to incomplete statistics from Mysteel, as of August 6, a total of 14 automakers had released their electric vehicle (EV) sales data for July 2026. Among them, BYD, SAIC Group, and Geely Auto ranked the top three in monthly sales, with volumes of 419,200, 176,700, and 160,200 units, respectively.
On a month-on-month basis, only BYD, Chery Group, and Leapmotor posted growth.
On a year-on-year basis, 11 automakers achieved increases, with BAIC BluePark and Leapmotor delivering standout performances, both posting growth rates exceeding 100%.
For the cumulative period from January to July, over 50% of the companies recorded year-on-year growth, with Leapmotor, NIO, and GAC Group ranking the top three in terms of growth rates.
