UPDATE: Brazil finds dumping of HR stainless flats from China, India and Indonesia

The Brazilian Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) has issued a preliminary affirmative anti-dumping (AD) ruling on hot-rolled (HR) stainless flat products originating from China, India and Indonesia, according to an official gazette published on April 30. However, no provisional AD duties will be imposed as the investigation moves forward.

The ruling stems from an AD investigation launched on June 30 last year following a petition filed on October 31 2024 by Aperam Inox América do Sul S.A.– Brazil's sole domestic producer of HR stainless flats. The company alleged that exports from the three countries were being dumped and
