Mongolia's April coal output dips MoM, yet remains elevated YoY

Mongolia's output of coal for all uses reached 9.62 million tonnes in April, down 2.5% from the previous month's 9.87 million tonnes, Mysteel Global calculated based on the latest data from the country's National Statistical Office (NSO).
Among the total, bituminous coal mainly used in steelmaking accounted for 9.04 million tonnes, up 1.6% on month. To some extent, the rise offset a 39% on-month decline in lignite output, which reached 581,000 tonnes in April, according to the NSO's monthly bulletins.   On a yearly basis, the overall April
