On June 25, Cangzhou Mingzhu released a major project progress announcement, confirming that its two long-planned lithium-ion battery separator capacity expansion projects have been fully completed and successfully put into operation, adding a total of 400 million square meters of annual design capacity for lithium battery separators. This marks a key breakthrough in the company's scaled-up upgrade of lithium battery separator production capacity, propelling its capacity layout and market competitiveness to a new level.
The two expansion projects now in operation feature clearly defined roles and complementary product categories, covering the two mainstream lithium battery separator technology tracks, wet process and dry process, respectively. Specifically, the 200 million square meters per year wet-process lithium-ion battery separator project was led by the subsidiary Wuhu Mingzhu Separator Technology Co., Ltd., with an overall plan for two production lines. The first line had already been successfully commissioned in November 2025, and with the official commissioning of the remaining line (with an annual capacity of 100 million square meters) this time, the wet-process separator project has now reached full production capacity, fully achieving its targeted design capacity goals.
The other core project, the 500 million square meters per year dry-process lithium-ion battery separator project, was implemented by the subsidiary Cangzhou Mingzhu Lithium Battery Separator Co., Ltd. This project has a total planned capacity of five production lines. Two lines were put into operation in November 2025, releasing partial capacity ahead of schedule. With the simultaneous commissioning of the remaining three lines, adding a combined annual design capacity of 300 million square meters, the dry-process separator project has now been fully completed and its capacity targets fully realized. With the concurrent implementation of both projects, the company has added a total of 400 million square meters of effective lithium battery separator capacity, further refining its integrated product-capacity matrix that synergizes dry-process and wet-process technologies.
