NBS: China's H1 copper semis output flat, cathodes up 5%

China's production of semi-finished copper products reached 11.98 million tonnes in this year's January-June half, a slight year-on-year increase of 0.3%, according to new data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In June alone, output of copper semis stood at 2.16 million tonnes, up 105,000 tonnes or 5.1% from May but representing a drop of 4.4% compared with the same period last year. Regionally, the country's copper semis production remained highly concentrated. Jiangxi province led with 3.12 million tonnes, or 26.1%
