On July 30, Ronbay Technology announced in a public filing that it plans to invest in the construction of an integrated project for the annual production of 300,000 tonnes of sodium-ion cathode materials in Xiantao, with a total investment of Yuan 4.723 billion, of which Yuan 4 billion is allocated for fixed asset investment and Yuan 723 million for working capital.
The project is planned with a total production capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year, to be developed in three phases, including Phase I with 50,000 tonnes, Phase II with 100,000 tonnes, and Phase III with 150,000 tonnes. The construction cycle is expected to span 24 months. The funding sources include the company's own funds, bank loans, and other self-raised funds, accounting for 20%, 43%, and 37%, respectively.
The project is strategically designed to seize the critical industrialization window for sodium-ion batteries and to consolidate the company's first-mover advantage in the sodium-ion cathode material sector.
