China's imports of ternary cathode materials amounted to 9,988 tonnes, an increase of 1,628 tonnes from the previous month, representing a month-on-month growth of 19.5%. And an increase of 3,093 tonnes compared to the same month last year, marking a year-on-year rise of 44.9%. Among these, imports of lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide (NCM-type) stood at 8,428 tonnes, while imports of lithium nickel cobalt aluminum oxide (NCA-type) reached 1,559 tonnes.
For H1 2026, China's cumulative imports of cathode materials totaled 53,683 tonnes, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 76.9%.
