Worker fatality halts production at Peabody-Glencore coal mine in NSW

Operations at the United Wambo open cut coal mine in Australia's New South Wales, have been suspended since August 3 after a worker was killed in a truck accident, according to Australian news media.
"Emergency services were called to the site shortly after 1:00 pm [on Monday], where they located a man, believed to be in his 50s, who had been hit by a truck," ABC News reported.   No news had been heard about the mine's restart as of Tuesday afternoon, Mysteel Global notes.   Located
