Mexico launches AD probe into Japanese heavy plate imports

Mexico has launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into Japan-origin steel plate in response to a claim that Japanese exports are priced 24% below domestic products and are causing damage to local producers.

In an official gazette announcement on September 2 local time, Mexico's Secretariat of the Economy said the products covered are cut-to-length hot-rolled carbon steel plate with a thickness of 4.75 mm or more and a width of 600 mm or more under HS codes 7208.51 and 7208.52. The secretariat was
