On September 18, Anda Technology released that the company's 300,000-tonne lithium iron phosphate (LFP) precursor project is designed based on a double-sintering process and is expected to achieve an LFP production capacity of 200,000 tonnes. Construction of the project began in June 2025 and is currently in the equipment installation and commissioning stage, with trial production and a gradual ramp-up expected to begin in Q4 2026.
Compared with third-generation LFP products, fourth-generation LFP products feature higher compaction density and capacity as well as better fast-charging performance, and therefore command higher selling prices. Although the production cost of fourth-generation products is somewhat higher than that of third-generation products, overall profitability has improved markedly. At present, the company's shipped products are mainly third-generation LFP products, while the share of fourth-generation LFP product shipments is rising steadily.
