WEEKLY: Chinese BF mills production continues to rise

Production among Chinese blast furnace (BF) steelmakers continued to tick higher during the past week, with more mills resuming operations from maintenance, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During May 15-21, the average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steel producers under Mysteel's tracking had increased for the second straight week by another 0.6 percentage point on week to 90.3%, while their combined hot metal production also went up slightly further by 0.6% on week to
