FLASH: Daqin railway's coal shipment rises 6.4% in '23

The coal shipments via Daqin railway, China's busiest coal-dedicated rail line, amounted to 422.1 million tonnes throughout 2023, a rise of 6.4% compared with 2022, Mysteel Global learned from a January 3 announcement released by the operator Daqin Railway Co., Ltd.

However, the railway's coal deliveries in December alone declined by 4.7% on year or 8.8% on month to only 34.35 million tonnes, the third lowest monthly level seen last year, according to the announcement.
