Russia discovers large gold reserves at one of Rosatom's deposits

The State Commission for Solid Mineral Reserves of Russia's Federal Agency for Mineral Resources (Rosnedra) recently confirmed the discovery of gold reserves at Rosatom's Sovinoye deposit in the amount of more than 100 tonnes, the rating agency Rusmet reported.

This is stated in the report of the company Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ, mining division of the state corporation). These are the largest gold reserves that have been discovered in Russia since 1991 within a single deposit. The licence for the deposit is held by Elkon MMC, which is part of ARMZ.
