Iron ore shipments to China via Port Hedland fall 12% MoM in Oct

Port Hedland, the top iron ore terminal in Western Australia, handled 39.3 million tonnes of iron ore for export to China in October, according to new data released by the Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA), with the total falling by 11.6% on month after the solid 9.1% rise recorded in September. Last month's ore shipments from Hedland to China were also lower than the volume in October 2023, albeit by a mere 0.9%, the data show.
