The State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China introduced GB/T 45203-2024 Recycled Black Mass for Lithium-ion Battery on December 31, 2024. This standard is the first strategic black mass national standard in China and even globally, with the preparation work led by Guangdong Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd.
The new regulation will help standardize the chemical composition as well as other indicators and parameters of battery black mass, ensure that the product quality meets green environmental protection requirements, and facilitate compliance in product trading and import with the goal of achieving green development.
