In April, the China's production and sales of electric vehicles (EVs) reached 1.251 million and 1.226 million respectively, an increase of 43.8% and 44.2% year-on-year. The EV sales accounted for 47.3% of the total sales of new cars.
From January to April, the production and sales of EVs stood at 4.429 million and 4.3 million respectively, an increase of 48.3% and 46.2% YoY. The EV sales accounted for 42.7% of the total sales of new cars in the first four months.
