Coal India's coal output drops 1.4% YoY in May

Coal India Limited (CIL), the largest state-owned coal producer in India, registered a slight 1.4% on-year decline in its coal production in May, reaching 63.5 million tonnes, according to the company's latest performance report.
Among CIL's eight subsidiaries, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) recorded the largest output of coal totalling 17.9 million tonnes in May, followed by South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), which produced 13.8 million tonnes during the month, the company's performance report shows.   In the same month, four subsidiaries of CIL saw declines in
