NBS: China industrial firms' Jan-Sept profits recovery speeds up

Sizable Chinese industrial enterprises posted a total gross profit of Yuan 5.37 trillion ($755.5 billion) for the first nine months of 2025, marking a 3.2% increase from the same period last year, according to the latest data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 27. The January-September rise was an sizeable improvement on the 0.9% on-year rise recorded over January- August.

During September alone, these industrial firms' gross profits surged by 21.6% on year, higher by 1.2% from the 20.4% on-year rise recorded during August, the NBS data indicated.
