NBS: China's 2025 FAI falls 4%, property investment plunges 17% YoY

China's fixed asset investment (FAI) dropped by 3.8% on year to Yuan 48.52 trillion ($7 trillion) in 2025, according to the latest release from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 19. The annual result marked the first shrinkage in yearly FAI since 2005 and a three-year low, the NBS data showed.
