On February 10, the LSS5 BSSB photovoltaic power generation project in Malaysia, the country's largest single PV project currently under construction and contracted under the EPC model by China Energy Engineering Group Jiangsu Design Institute, commenced full-scale construction.
Located in the Beseri Jaya area of Kuala Selangor District, Selangor State, Malaysia, the project spans three major land plots with a total area of approximately 437 hectares. As an EPC turnkey contract, the project scope includes the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and completion of a photovoltaic power station with an installed capacity of 300 MWac/459.27 MWp, along with supporting facilities such as a 275 kV booster station and transmission lines. The total construction period is approximately 20 months, with commercial operations expected to commence by July 1, 2027. Upon completion, the project is projected to generate over 640 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
