UPDATE: Australia imposes AD duties on flat-rolled steel from China, South Korea

Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) has imposed provisional anti-dumping (AD) duties on certain flat-rolled steel products imported from China and South Korea, and countervailing (CV) duties on the same products originating from China, following preliminary affirmative determinations in the ongoing investigations.

On June 23, the ADC announced that provisional duties in the form of security deposits would take effect from June 24 2026. For Chinese exporters, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd faces provisional AD and countervailing duties of 16.1% and 3.2%, respectively. Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd was
