Output:
In August, China's total output of power and energy storage batteries reached 237.0 GWh, up 8.8% month on month and 69.8% year on year. From January to August, China's cumulative output of power and energy storage batteries totaled 1,523.9 GWh, up 57.0% YoY.
Sales:
In August, China's sales of power and energy storage batteries reached 223.1 GWh, up 20.5% MoM and 65.9% YoY. Among them, power battery sales stood at 146.8 GWh, accounting for 65.8% of total sales, up 13.7% month on month and 48.5% year on year. Energy storage battery sales reached 76.3 GWh, accounting for 34.2% of total sales, up 36.0% MoM and 114.3% YoY.
From January to August, China's cumulative sales of power and energy storage batteries totaled 1,387.7 GWh, up 50.7% year on year. Among them, cumulative power battery sales reached 937.2 GWh, accounting for 67.5% of total sales, up 38.7% YoY. Cumulative energy storage battery sales totaled 450.5 GWh, accounting for 32.5% of total sales, up 83.8% YoY.
Exports
In August, China's total exports of power and energy storage batteries reached 42.4 GWh, up 20.4% MoM and 87.5% YoY, accounting for 19.0% of the month's sales. Among them, power battery exports stood at 24.7 GWh, accounting for 58.2% of total exports, up 3.1% month on month and 64.0% year on year. Energy storage battery exports reached 17.7 GWh, accounting for 41.8% of total exports, up 57.2% MoM and 134.2% YoY.
From January to August, China's cumulative exports of power and energy storage batteries totaled 259.0 GWh, up 49.6% year on year, accounting for 18.7% of cumulative sales. Among them, cumulative power battery exports reached 171.4 GWh, accounting for 66.2% of total exports, up 53.7% year on year. Cumulative energy storage battery exports totaled 87.6 GWh, accounting for 33.8% of total exports, up 42.2% YoY.
Installations:
In August, China's domestic power battery installations reached 79.0 GWh, up 5.9% MoM and 26.3% YoY. Among them, ternary battery installations stood at 11.0 GWh, accounting for 14.0% of total installations, down 1.0% month on month and up 0.9% year on year. LFP battery installations reached 67.6 GWh, accounting for 85.6% of total installations, up 7.0% MoM and 31.0% YoY.
From January to August, China's cumulative domestic power battery installations totaled 489.1 GWh, up 17.0% year on year. Among them, cumulative ternary battery installations reached 85.6 GWh, accounting for 17.5% of total installations, up 10.6% year on year. Cumulative LFP battery installations totaled 402.7 GWh, accounting for 82.3% of total installations, up 18.3% year on year.
