Output
In September, China's combined output of power and energy storage batteries was 237.8 GWh, up 0.3% MoM and 57.3% YoY. From January to September, China's cumulative output of power and energy storage batteries was 1,833.1 GWh, with cumulative YoY growth of 63.4%.
Sales
In September, China's sales of power and energy storage batteries were 222.7 GWh, down 0.2% MoM and up 52.0% YoY. Among these, power battery sales were 149.2 GWh, accounting for 67.0% of total sales, up 1.7% MoM and 35.0% YoY. Energy storage battery sales reached 73.5 GWh, accounting for 33.0% of total sales, down 3.7% MoM and up 104.4% YoY.
From January to September, China's cumulative sales of power and energy storage batteries were 1,681.7 GWh, with cumulative YoY growth of 57.6%. Among these, cumulative power battery sales were 1,086.4 GWh, accounting for 64.6% of total sales, with cumulative YoY growth of 38.2%. And cumulative energy storage battery sales were 595.4 GWh, accounting for 35.4% of total sales, with cumulative YoY growth of 111.8%.
Exports
In September, China's combined exports of power and energy storage batteries were 44.0 GWh, up 3.7% MoM and 64.5% YoY, accounting for 19.7% of sales in the month. Among these, power battery exports were 28.4 GWh, accounting for 64.5% of total exports, up 14.9% MoM and 60.9% YoY. Energy storage battery exports were 15.6 GWh, accounting for 35.5% of total exports, down 11.9% MoM and up 71.4% YoY.
From January to September, China's cumulative exports of power and energy storage batteries were 302.9 GWh, with cumulative YoY growth of 51.6%, accounting for 18.0% of cumulative sales. Among these, cumulative power battery exports were 199.7 GWh, accounting for 65.9% of total exports, with cumulative YoY growth of 54.7%. The cumulative energy storage battery exports were 103.2 GWh, accounting for 34.1% of total exports, with cumulative YoY growth of 45.9%.
Installations
In September, China's domestic power battery installations were 87.2 GWh, up 10.4% MoM and 14.7% YoY. Among these, ternary battery installations were 12.3 GWh, accounting for 14.1% of total installations, up 11.7% MoM and down 10.9% YoY. And lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery installations were 74.5 GWh, accounting for 85.5% of total installations, up 19.9% YoY.
From January to September, China's cumulative domestic power battery installations totaled 576.3 GWh, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 16.7%. Among these, cumulative ternary battery installations were 97.9 GWh, accounting for 17.0% of total installations, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 7.3%. The cumulative LFP battery installations were 477.2 GWh, accounting for 82.8% of total installations, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 18.5%.
