China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology opened public consultation on October 27 for the foreign-language edition of a national standard covering technical requirements and test methods for household solar PV power systems. Comments will be accepted over October 28-November 3. The translated standard could make Chinese household PV systems easier to specify in overseas procurement and reduce interpretation gaps for importers. It may also strengthen the export case for Chinese kits and components, although the text is still at the approval stage. Product certification requirements in destination markets will continue to determine access.
