I. Exports
In June, China's lithium iron phosphate (LFP) exports reached 2,031.54 tonnes, an increase of 1,090 tonnes or 115.75% month-on-month and a year-on-year rising of 1,184 tonnes or 1,281%, based on data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC).
The surge in June export volumes was primarily driven by explosive growth in two key trade routes:
Guangxi to Vietnam: The exports reached 1,024 tonnes, accounting for 50% of total exports in June. Vietnam has emerged as a major export market for Chinese LFP, benefiting from rapid local battery industry chain expansion.
Jiangsu to the U.S.: The exports totaled 624 tonnes, representing 31% of total exports. The U.S. has seen a significant rise in demand for Chinese LFP, driven by long-term supply agreements between domestic Chinese manufacturers and overseas customers, as well as active efforts to expand international market presence.

II. Imports
In June, China's LFP imports decreased significantly, primarily due to the rising domestic production capacity and shifts in global supply-demand dynamics. Despite the reduced imports, average import prices remained elevated, reflecting sustained demand for high-end LFP products.
In June, China's lithium iron phosphate (LFP) imports reached 0.6 tonnes, down 17 tonnes or -96.57% month-on-month, based on data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC).
The cumulative imports over January to June stood at 64.8 tonnes, up 18.7 tonnes or 40.68% compared to the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, Taiwan, China accounted for the majority of imports during this period.

III. Average Export & Import Price

From January to June, China's cumulative LFP exports reached 7,310 tonnes, with a total export value of $42.04 million US dollars and a cumulative average export price of $5,800/t, a year-on-year decrease of 34.58%.
China's LFP imports in June totaled 0.6 tonnes, with an import amount of $5,767 US dollars. The average import price was $9,532/t, a decrease of 55% compared to the previous month.
