Production:
In June, China's total production of power and other batteries reached 129.2 GWh, up 4.6% month-on-month (MoM) and 51.4% year-on-year (YoY). From January to June, cumulative production stood at 697.3 GWh, a 60.4% YoY increase.
Sales:
In June, China's total battery sales hit 131.4 GWh, rising 6.3% MoM and 41.7% YoY. Among them, power battery sales accounted for 71.6% (94.1 GWh), up 7.6% MoM and 34.9% YoY. And other batteries made up 28.4% (37.4 GWh), increasing 3.4% MoM and 62.5% YoY.
From January to June, cumulative sales reached 659.0 GWh, surging 63.3% YoY. Meanwhile, the sales for power batteries totaled 485.5 GWh (73.7% share), up 51.6% YoY. And that for other batteries reached 173.5 GWh (26.3% share), soaring 108.5% YoY.
Exports:
In June, China exported 24.4 GWh of batteries, jumping 27.9% MoM and 22.5% YoY, representing 18.5% of total sales. Among them, power battery exports stood at 15.8 GWh (65.0% share), up 17.1% MoM and 16.6% YoY. Other battery exports totaled 8.5 GWh (35.0% share), surging 54.7% MoM and 35.2% YoY.
From January to June, cumulative exports hit 127.3 GWh, up 56.8% YoY, accounting for 19.3% of total sales. Power battery accumulative exports reached 81.6 GWh (64.1% share), up 26.5% YoY. Other battery exports totaled 45.6 GWh (35.9% share), skyrocketing 174.6% YoY.
Installation:
In June, China's power battery installations reached 58.2 GWh, up 1.9% MoM and 35.9% YoY. NCM battery installations totaled 10.7 GWh (18.4% share), up 2.0% MoM but down 3.4% YoY. And that for LFP batteries was 47.4 GWh (81.5% share), up 1.9% MoM and 49.7% YoY.
From January to June, cumulative installations stood at 299.6 GWh, up 47.3% YoY. The installation for NCM batteries accumulated 55.5 GWh (18.5% share), down 10.8% YoY and that for LFP batteries hit 244.0 GWh (81.4% share), surging 73.0% YoY.
