Production:
In August, China's total production of power and other batteries reached 139.6 GWh, up 4.4% month-on-month and 37.3% year-on-year. From January to August, the cumulative production of power and other batteries amounted to 970.7 GWh, with a cumulative increase of 54.3% YoY.
Sales:
In August, China's sales of power and other batteries reached 134.5 GWh, up 5.7% month-on-month and 45.6% year-on-year. Among these, power battery sales were 98.9 GWh, accounting for 73.5% of total sales, up 8.5% MoM and 44.4% YoY; While other batteries sales stood at 35.6 GWh, accounting for 26.5% of total sales, down 1.4% MoM but up 49.0% YoY.
The cumulative sales of power and other batteries over January-August, reached 920.7 GWh, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 58.2%. Among these, cumulative power battery sales were 675.5 GWh, accounting for 73.4% of total sales, with an increase of 49.7% YoY; And that of other batteries reached 245.2 GWh, accounting for 26.6% of total sales, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 87.6%.
Installation Volume
In August, China's power battery installation volume was 62.5 GWh, up 11.9% month-on-month and 32.4% year-on-year. Among these, ternary battery installation volume was 10.9 GWh, accounting for 17.5% of total installation volume, down 0.1% MoM and 10.0% YoY; Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery installation volume reached 51.6 GWh, accounting for 82.5% of total installation volume, up 14.8% MoM and 47.3% YoY.
From January to August, China's cumulative power battery installation volume was 417.9 GWh, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 43.1%. Among these, cumulative ternary battery installation volume was 77.4 GWh, accounting for 18.5% of total installation volume, with a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 9.7%; While LFP battery installation volume stood at 340.5 GWh, accounting for 81.5% of total installation volume, with a cumulative increase of 65.1% YoY.
