In August, the production and sales of electric vehicles (EVs) reached 1.391 million and 1.395 million units respectively, with year-on-year growth of 27.4% and 26.8%. The EV sales accounted for 48.8% of the total new vehicle sales.
From January to August, the cumulative production and sales of EVs reached 9.625 million and 9.62 million units respectively, representing a year-on-year increase of 37.3% and 36.7%. During this period, EV sales accounted for 45.5% of the total new vehicle sales.
